David is retired from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and currently lives in Honolulu. He has been a part of the Hawai’i National Great Teachers Seminar* since 1989. His leadership was instrumental in moving the national GTS to western Kentucky in 2023 as the Kentucky National Great Teachers Seminar. He was a psychology professor at UH-Manoa for many years. His creativity and ingenuity in the classroom translated to innovations in GTS design and implementation. David has been an active higher education collaborator with 1PS, LLC since 2013.
* The HNGTS was held in Volcano, HI from 1989-2019. Dormant from 2020-2023, the designated national event was moved to Lake Barkley State Resort Park in July 2023.
